About HIDTA

High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area

The mission of the HIDTA Program is to disrupt the market for illegal drugs in the United States in support of the National Drug Control Strategy by assisting federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement entities participating in the HIDTA Program to dismantle and disrupt drug trafficking organizations, with particular emphasis on drug trafficking regions that have harmful effects on other parts of the United States.

The HIDTA Program goals are as follow:

  • Disrupt the market for illegal drugs by dismantling or disrupting drug trafficking and money laundering organizations; and

  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the HIDTA initiatives.

We Offer a Range of Services to Meet All Types of Needs

The mission of the HIDTA Program is to disrupt the market for illegal drugs in the United States in support of the National Drug Control Strategy by assisting federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement entities participating in the HIDTA Program to dismantle and disrupt drug trafficking organizations, with particular emphasis on drug trafficking regions that have harmful effects on other parts of the United States.

The Mission of the New Mexico Investigative Support Center (NMISC) is to promote and facilitate the sharing and coordination of criminal intelligence throughout the Southwest Border and the nation.

The New Mexico HIDTA prioritizes training as a vital component of its mission. By enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of New Mexico Initiatives and drug law enforcement, the HIDTA’s Training Program covers a wide range of subjects, benefiting agencies throughout the region.
